Anti Wrinkle Treatments
What is Botox?
Botox is the brand name for Botulinum Toxin Type A which is the treatment injected into the muscles to help reduce wrinkles. Other brands include Xeomin and Bocouture.
How does it work?
The muscle responsible for making the wrinkles deeper and visible is targeted so it helps your skin looking younger. It can also reduce sweating so used in hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating). It takes about 20-30 mins to apply and about 5-10 days for the full effect to kick in. It usually lasts about 4 months on average.
Is it safe?
Yes. All treatments given by The Beauty Doc are safe and can be given with confidence. As with all medical treatments, the potential side effects will be discussed.
What are fillers?
These are gel like substances called hyaluronic acid which are naturally found proteins in your skin. It gives volume back into your skin which is lost through ageing. It helps with reducing wrinkles and plumping up lips/cheeks.
It takes about 30mins to administer and the effects are immediate. The effects will go on to settle in about a week. It lasts for about 9-18 months depending on the type of filler you choose.
Is it safe?
Yes. Fillers usually requires a number of injections so the common side effect include bruising. However local anaesthetic will be provided as well as techniques to reduce the chances of bruising.
Do you have any special offers?
As of 1st June 2016, the GMC released guidance on how doctors should advertise cosmetic treatments including banning special offers which might contribute to clients making "ill informed decisions". Time limited offers are therefore banned. For more information please click here.
Where can I get the treatment?
Most clients are treated in their own homes as one of our doctors can arrange a convenient time for a visit. Please note that depending on the location and day of treatment, a £15 - £30 call out fee will be added to the treatment. Alternatively, we can see you at Hipzone Salon in Kensington. Please contact us by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org to see if we can provide treatment in your home where your treatment will be cheaper. Generally we are able to travel anywhere around Central London.
